The Limassol Carnival party is over. The street was very dirty. But many people wanted to help clean. More than 500 helpers came. They worked with the city to make the street clean. They made the area nice again. This showed people helping their town.
The Limassol Carnival is a big party. Many people watch the parade. The party is fun. But it makes a lot of trash. This year, there was much rubbish. The city needed to clean up the streets.
A club called City Friends started the cleanup. Anna Gubareva started the club. She was very happy. It was their biggest cleanup ever. She said people in the town help each other. The helpers picked up plastic and metal.
City workers also cleaned the street. They took away the rest of the trash. The helpers got 8.5 tonnes of things to recycle. They also got 7 tonnes of spray cans. This was more than last year.
The recycled things went to special places. This helps the planet. City workers took 50 tonnes of waste away. This was a lot of work.
Anna Gubareva said people had fun. They also helped the town. This cleanup showed people care. It showed good community spirit. This success will help future town projects.
