A New Café in Nicosia Will Help People with Autism

A new café will open in Nicosia early next year. It is a special project to help people with autism find good jobs. The NGO Voice for Autism is leading this work.

The café is called the Blue Heart Café. It will be on a central street. Ten people with autism will work there. Five of them are also owners of the café. Eight people already finished their training. The café got money from a foundation and the government.

A woman from the NGO said, "We are not just serving coffee. We are creating opportunities." This is an important step for inclusion.

But life is still difficult for many people with disabilities in Cyprus. Many places are not easy to enter, and they need more support services.

In other news, a big picnic was held for people with disabilities and their families. Also, library staff are learning sign language. This will help deaf people use the library.

The new café is a good example of change. But people say Cyprus still needs to do more to help everyone.
