Police officers shot a man early Sunday. He was trying to go into President Trump's Mar-a-Lago. This happened in Florida. The man's name was Austin T. Martin. He was from North Carolina. He wanted to enter the place without asking.
Secret Service agents and a police deputy saw him. This was about 1:30 in the morning. The FBI is now looking into this.
Police said Martin went to a gate. He had a shotgun and fuel. Officers told him to put them down. Martin dropped the fuel. But then he held up the shotgun.
The sheriff said officers had to shoot. Martin was hurt and died. No officers were hurt. President Trump was not there. He was in Washington D.C.
The FBI wants to know why he was there. His family said he was missing. They are checking about the shotgun. The FBI will find out more.
