This December, a beautiful Christmas village will open in Peyia, a town by the sea. The Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort is making it with the local people. The village will be in the old square next to Saint George's Church. It opens on December 6th.
The village is part of "Winter Fest 2025". Cyprus wants more tourists in winter, and this village will help. It is in the town square because they want to use a real local place.
The Christmas village will have a busy market. Local artists will sell handmade gifts and food. There will be a restaurant and many stalls with holiday drinks and snacks. There will also be live music and games for families in the evenings.
The hotel hopes visitors will come and stay in their rooms. This is good for local shops and restaurants, too. It will bring more people to the area in winter.
