In the last three months of 2025, pollution in the EU got bigger. It grew by 1.1 percent. This means the EU made 828 million tonnes of bad gases. This happened after a time when pollution was less. Some countries did better. Cyprus made much less pollution. It was the third best country.
The EU's money work also grew by 0.4 percent. This means more money work can mean more pollution. Homes made 3.6 percent more pollution. Factories also made 1.4 percent more. But power for homes and cooling made 0.8 percent less pollution. Estonia, Slovenia, and Cyprus made the least pollution.
In America, a new plan may hurt climate goals. The government is taking away an old finding. This finding said bad gases hurt the Earth. It helped stop pollution from factories. Green groups worry this will make more bad gases. This could cost a lot of money.
The IEA has a warning. We need more energy. But we are not making enough green energy. So we still need old fuels. This is called "energy addition." The IEA thinks we will have more green energy. But there are problems with supplies. America has made this harder before. We need all countries to work together.
