Sydney Protest Against Israeli President

People were angry in Sydney on Monday. They did not like the visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Groups for Palestine organized the protests. Police arrested some people. Some said police were too strong.

The protests were near Sydney Town Hall. Many people came. They were against the visit. The government invited the President. They wanted to help Jewish people. This was after a bad attack.

But protesters did not agree. They felt they could not protest well. Videos showed police taking people. Some people were hit. Police used spray on others. One man said police action was strong.

The Police Commissioner did not agree. He said police were good. He said they stopped problems. Ten police were hurt. Police took 27 people. Some will go to court.

Police said 6,000 people came. Others said 50,000 people were there. Protesters tried to change police actions. They did not win. Now people ask about police and protests.
