Boat Sinks in Sea, Many People Lost

A boat sank in the Mediterranean Sea. It carried people looking for a better life. Sadly, 53 people are thought to have died. Only two people were saved. The boat left Libya six hours before it sank. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) shared this sad news. They said that crossing the sea is very dangerous.

The boat overturned on Friday night. It was north of Zuwara. Libyan helpers found two Nigerian women. These women are getting medical help. They told sad stories.

Criminal groups use old boats. These boats are not safe. The IOM is very sad. They want countries to work together.

The European Commission knows this is serious. They said countries must work with Libya. They want to stop dangerous trips. Many people agree more must be done. We need to help people at sea. We also need to find why people take risks.

Many people have died at sea. We need better rescue services. We also need safe ways for people to travel. This accident is a reminder of this tragedy.
