Fighting in South Sudan Causes Big Problems

New fighting in South Sudan is a big problem. Many people left their homes. Aid groups have trouble helping them. The fighting stops important services. It also makes it hard to get food. Many people are very hungry now.

Ajok Ding Duot and her family are hiding. They came two weeks ago. They need help from aid groups. Duot does not know why the government is fighting. The people do not understand.

The fighting is worst in Jonglei State. Many people left homes since December. About 280,000 people have no homes. The fighting makes it hard for aid workers. They cannot bring food and medicine. The United Nations is worried.

This fighting has bad results. It is hard to get food and medicine. In Jonglei State, there are no doctors. People who are sick cannot get help. Farming is stopped. Markets are closed. Many buildings are broken. This means people are very hungry. Many children are in danger from hunger.

People look for nuts and fruits to eat. This shows there is not enough food. Without help, people struggle to live. The world needs to help. They need to stop the fighting.
