Son of "El Chapo" Admits Guilt in US Court

Joaquín Guzmán López, the son of the famous drug lord "El Chapo," said he was guilty in a US court. He is a leader in the Sinaloa drug cartel. He admitted to selling drugs like fentanyl and sending them to the United States. He also said he paid bribes and used violence for the cartel.

Guzmán López is 39 years old. He changed his plea from not guilty to guilty. He did this because of a deal with the government. Because of this deal, he will not get life in prison. But he must help the police with their work. He will go to prison for at least ten years and must pay $80 million.

In another case in New York, a man named Luigi Mangione is in court for murder. His lawyers say the police found a gun and a notebook illegally. They want the judge to not allow this evidence in the trial. The decision is very important for the case.

Both cases show the US justice system fighting serious crime.
