Big winter storms came to North America. They made big problems for many people. Sadly, some people died. Millions of people had very cold weather. Leaders told people to stay inside. The storms hit many places. Now, towns are fixing problems.
Many people got warnings. Over 200 million people were told about the weather. States like Texas felt the storm. Many houses lost power. More than a million people had no electricity. Many homes and shops were still dark.
Toronto, a big city in Canada, got much snow. The airport got a record amount of snow. Downtown Toronto got even more snow. This snow made it hard to go places. Many planes did not fly. People were told not to travel.
The cold also made people sad. In the USA, 49 people died. This shows cold weather can be bad. The cold is not finished. More snow is coming. People are getting ready.
