Police Look at Big Bank Offices

Police visited Deutsche Bank offices on Tuesday. Deutsche Bank is a very big bank in Germany. This is for an investigation. They are looking for illegal money.

People from the prosecutor's office were there. Police officers also came. They went to the bank in Frankfurt and Berlin.

The investigation is about old business. Some foreign companies were part of this. These companies may have moved bad money. The prosecutor's office did not give many details.

News in Germany says it could be about Roman Abramovich. He is a businessman from Russia. He has sanctions on him. The bank might have moved money for people with him. The officials have not said this is true.

A lawyer for Mr. Abramovich said he knows nothing. He said Mr. Abramovich follows all rules. He also said other ideas are not true. This is different from the police visit.

Deutsche Bank had problems before. People said they did not stop bad money well. The bank paid big fines. They tried to make things better. This new look is about new or deep problems. People ask if the bank's new rules work.

The police visit is a serious thing. They look at foreign companies. They also look at old money moves. The Abramovich idea adds a political part. More news will come soon. The bank has not spoken yet.
