Fighting in Gaza and Israel This Week

This week, there was more fighting in Gaza. The Israeli army attacked in southern Gaza. They say they destroyed many tunnels and killed fighters. A Hamas official said their fighters are trapped in tunnels but will not surrender. Health officials in Gaza say over 70,000 people have now died in the war.

In Israel, Prime Minister Netanyahu asked the president to stop his court case. Many people are very angry about this. They protested in Tel Aviv. They say he is trying to avoid the law. This is a big problem for his government.

There was also new fighting on Israel's border with Syria. Israeli soldiers went into a town in Syria. They wanted to catch three men. There was shooting and Israeli planes attacked. Syrian sources say thirteen people died, including two children. Some Israeli soldiers were hurt.

These events show the conflict is getting worse in many places.
