Archbishop Georgios has a problem. Bishop Tychikos must leave a flat. He must give back the keys. He must do this by Thursday. If he does not, police will come.
Bishop Tychikos was told to leave his job. This was last May. But he still lives in the church flat. The Archbishop is not happy. He sent a letter. It has a time for Tychikos to leave.
Tychikos must give back the keys by 10 AM. Police will come at 12 PM. Tychikos can take his own things.
The problem started because Tychikos broke church rules. He showed a picture that was not okay. Also, he did not want a special old bone brought to Cyprus. He said bad things about Pope Francis.
Tychikos tried to fight being removed. It did not work. He still will not leave the flat. A church helper said they have no more patience.
The church leaders voted to keep Tychikos away from his job. He is still a bishop. But he has no work to do. His not leaving the flat is a big problem now. Police coming is a big step. This will likely end the church argument.
