Heavy Rain Causes Big Problems

Heavy rain is happening in South Africa. This rain has caused big problems. Rivers are full of water. Many places have floods.

More than 100 people have died. Many people lost their homes. They have nowhere to live. Rivers are very high. This means less food for people. Some crocodiles are in new places. Help workers are trying to help. They want to stop sickness.

Mozambique has a very bad situation. The floods are the worst in many years. In Mozambique, 13 people have died. Some people died because of crocodiles. Zimbabwe has the most deaths. More than 70 people have died there. South Africa also lost over 30 people.

Many roads are blocked. It is hard to bring food and help. The floodwaters are moving. Water from South Africa makes rivers higher in Mozambique.

Doctors worry about sickness. Cholera can spread. Wild animals are also a danger. Crocodiles are a problem. Henriques Bongece said, "Do not go near still water. Crocodiles are there."

These floods might happen more often. The floods will hurt food and health. Other countries will help rebuild. People need help.
