Iran Protests: People Are Angry

Protests happened in Iran. People were angry about money problems. Security forces were very strong. Many people died. The internet did not work well.

The protests started in December. They got bigger in January. January 8th and 9th were bad days. These days were very sad.

People were angry about high prices. They were unhappy with their lives. Then, people were angry with the government. People wanted to be heard. They showed their anger on the streets.

But security forces used force. They used weapons. This stopped the protests. People told sad stories.

Parisa from Tehran was scared. She heard gunshots. Security forces shot at people. Many people died. Parisa knew thirteen people who died.

The government also stopped the internet. This made talking hard. It helped stop more protests. It also controlled what people heard.

Mehdi from Tehran was sad. He said, "We know someone who died." Many families are sad. The country has problems.
