Bad Weather Forces Plane to Land in Different City

A plane flying from Prague to Larnaca, Cyprus, had to land in a different city on Sunday. This happened because very bad weather made it impossible to land in Larnaca. The bad weather was a big storm called ADEL. It brought thick fog, heavy rain, and strong winds to Cyprus.

The weather service in Cyprus warned people about the storm. They said there would be heavy rain and strong winds. When the plane tried to land in Larnaca, the pilot could not see the runway because of the fog. The plane waited in the air for 30 minutes, but the weather did not get better.

So, the pilot flew to Paphos Airport instead. The weather was better there. The plane landed safely in Paphos. It got more fuel and then later flew to Larnaca. The plane arrived two hours late.

The storm shows how bad weather can change travel plans. The weather in Cyprus will remain rainy for the next few days. This means more flights could be late or have to change.
