People Protest in Cyprus

People in Cyprus protested this week. They are sad about attacks in Rojava. Rojava is in Syria. Many people think bad things are happening there. Protesters want Cyprus and the world to stop the attacks.

Many people were in Nicosia and Limassol. They shouted words. They said "Woman, life, freedom." They also spoke against President Erdogan. Signs showed help for Rojava and Kurdistan.

The protests showed fear of more fighting in Syria. Protesters said the attacks are not just about land. They think it is an attack on a good way of life. This life is about being equal and free. They worry it is being hurt.

A group met with leaders. They went to the European Union office. They also met at the House of Representatives. They wanted help from politics. A green politician also helped the protests.

Protesters want help for fighting to stop. They want Cyprus to speak out. They asked for fighting to stop now. They also want people who did bad things to be punished. One protester said, "This is an attack on freedom." They think the world is not helping enough.
