From December to January, 164 foreign people went home from prison. In 45 days, 643 foreign people left Cyprus. About 450 left with help. Others left because they had no permission to stay.
Cyprus prisons are very full. Foreigners are more than half of the people in prison. Sending them away will make prisons better.
The government might let some foreign prisoners go early. This is for people with small crimes. They must agree to leave. This could help about 100 people. The plan wants to be fair. It will manage prison numbers and migrants.
Police are looking for people without papers. The government also helps people go home by choice. This is better than being sent away. The plan is working. Prisons are already less full.
