Storm Hits Cyprus

A big storm called ADEL hit the island of Cyprus last weekend. The weather service gave a yellow warning. They told people about very heavy rain, hail, and strong winds.

The storm started on Saturday. All of Cyprus had bad weather, but it was worst in the west and north and in the mountains.

On Saturday night and Sunday, the storm was very strong. There was very heavy rain that could cause floods. There was also hail, which can damage cars and farms. The wind became strong and made the sea dangerous. There was also some dust in the air.

Temperatures changed a lot. At night, it was cold, about 12 degrees. In the mountains, it was near 7 degrees. In the day, it was warmer, about 20 to 22 degrees in most places.

The storm made life difficult. People had to be careful. The strongest part is over now, but on Monday and Tuesday there were still some showers.

The weather will get better. By Wednesday, it should be calmer and more normal again.
