Bank of Cyprus Reports Lower Profit But Plans to Grow

The Bank of Cyprus made less money in the first nine months of 2025. Its profit was €353 million. This is 12% less than last year. The bank made less money from interest.

But the bank is positive about the future. It is giving more money to its shareholders. It also wants to grow and start more business in Greece.

The bank is still strong in other areas. It gave many new loans, 31% more than before. Money from services like insurance also increased. Problems with old loans are now very low at 1.2%.

The CEO, Panicos Nicolaou, said the bank did well. New lending was higher than their target. Because the bank is healthy, it can pay good dividends to its owners.

The bank now has more competition in Cyprus. But it is confident. It will share new plans for growth in early 2026.
