Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, the daughter of former president Jacob Zuma, has left her job in parliament. This happened because the police are investigating her. They think she helped South African men go to Russia to fight in the war in Ukraine.
Her own sister told the police about the plan. The sister said that seventeen men were tricked. They were told they were going to Russia for a training course to become bodyguards. But when they arrived, they had to go to the war. The men signed papers in Russian, but they do not understand the language. Now they cannot leave the war zone.
Zuma-Sambudla says she was also tricked. She says she thought it was a real training course and she went to Russia for a month herself. She also says another man, Blessing Khoza, planned everything.
She left her parliament job after the police investigation started. Her political party says she did not leave because she is guilty. The South African government must now help bring the seventeen men home safely.
