US President Wants Greenland, Europe Says No

The US President wants to buy Greenland. He said eight European countries must help him. If they don't, he will put new taxes on their goods. This news made many people worried. The countries are talking about what to do.

The President told everyone on Saturday. Denmark, France, Germany, and the UK are some countries. The taxes will be 10% first. Then they will be 25% by June. The President thinks Greenland is good for US safety. He said Denmark should give it back.

But the European countries do not agree. They said the threats are bad. They will protect their countries. The Prime Minister of Denmark said, "Europe will not be forced."

The European Union is working together. Leaders are meeting a lot. They are thinking about their own taxes on US goods. This could cost a lot of money. They might also use a way to stop this pressure.

This could hurt US friendships. The European countries are now stronger together. They will stand up to unfair pressure. The next few weeks will be important. We will see if they can solve this.
