Big Rain, Big Problems

It rained a lot in north Cyprus. This made big problems.

The leaders said it is an emergency. One person died. Many places have water. This is from a weather system. It is called BYRON.

The rain came Monday night. It rained all day Tuesday. Water could not go away. Rivers were full.

Teams helped people. They moved them to safe places. Streets had much water. Cars went in the water. People were in their homes.

A man died in his car. His name was Ercin Fevzi. He was near a beach. Teams saved people and animals.

New buildings might make it worse. They are on old rivers. This is a thought.

Big roads are closed. One road is blocked. A hospital was in danger. Schools are closed.

The Mayor called it a big problem. The storm is now gone. People must clean. They think about more rain.
