Cyprus wants to buy new defence things. It will use money from a European Union plan. The plan gives Cyprus a loan of 1.2 billion euros. This is a lot of money.
The government says the new things are only for defence. They are not for attack. Cyprus says it needs these things because part of the country is occupied.
They will not say what things they will buy. They will work with other countries in Europe to get them.
First, they must send the plan to the European Union. The EU will say yes or no. Cyprus will get the money in 2026.
