The European Union is building a new park in Cyprus. The park is next to a river in Nicosia. Nicosia is a divided city. The park is 3.7 kilometres long.
People want the park to help bring communities together. They want Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots to use the park. They hope it builds trust.
Work on the park started now. The first part will finish in February 2026. This part is 1.2 kilometres. It will have a path for bikes, a path for people, and green space.
The park is for everyone. It is a place for nature and for people to meet. It is a small step for peace.
