Cyprus Talks About Traffic Fines and Safety

In Cyprus, the government stops people at the airport if they have old traffic fines. Some politicians say this is wrong. They say the police need a judge's paper first.

At the same time, police say there is a big problem. They say some drivers use alcohol or drugs. This causes many bad accidents. In ten months, police saw this over four thousand times.

The government wants more money for traffic cameras. They say the cameras make the roads safe. But the politicians ask questions. They want to know if stopping people at the airport is good or bad.
