Cyprus Stops Separate Lines

Cyprus is an island. It has two parts. People cross between the parts at checkpoints.

Last week, the government made two lines. One line was for Greek Cypriots. The other line was for Turkish Cypriots. Officials said it was to check people's papers.

A politician said this was not good. She said the two lines were not fair. It made people feel bad.

Now, the government stops the two lines. Everyone uses the same line again. The government says it wants equal treatment for all people on the island.
