Cyprus Has A Water Problem

Cyprus has a big water problem. It is strange. Much rain is not saved. Dams are only a little full. The leaders will buy more water. Summer might have water limits.

Rain is good. It falls a lot. But Cyprus loses this water. This water can fill our dams. Cities use water fast. New buildings have hard ground. Rain goes into drains quickly. It does not fill our dams. This is bad.

The President says water is important. The country will spend money. This is for buying special water. This water costs more. It takes money from saving water.

Water people know levels are low. They want to stop limits. They check rules for wells. They worry about water from the ground.

Much rain water is lost. Hard ground loses much water. This is very wasteful. We need more water. Cyprus must plan for the future. Rain is good for us.
