Army Takes Control in Guinea-Bissau

In Guinea-Bissau, the army is now in charge. This happened after a big vote for a new president. Two men both said they won the vote.

Then, soldiers went on television. They said they have all the power now. They stopped the vote. They also closed the country's borders.

People in the city heard guns near the president's house. The old president left the country. The army chose a new leader and a new prime minister.

Other countries are not happy. They say the army must leave. They want the country to finish the vote and choose a president.
